Bar 10 Ranch has been in the Heaton Family since the early 1970s and was initially accessed by a small airstrip. You can still access the ranch via a flight or helicopter.

A ground shuttle is available, or you can drive to the ranch yourself, but you’ll need a Tuweep Day Use Ticket. Thanks to its dramatic and remote location, there are all kinds of fun activities that you can get up to. The most popular of which has to be river rafting as you head down the popular Colorado River.

Another fantastic excursion is their Grand Canyon ATV rides, where guests are treated to epic views of America’s most famous gorge. There’s also horseback riding and hiking. Bar 10 Ranch also has a nature center that allows you to observe some of the local wildlife.

Reid Ranch Resort

Location: Hanna, UT

Reid Ranch Resort

Reid Ranch Resort has been in the Reid family since 1985 and aims to bring people together through personal experiences.

The ranch is set in a remote location 2 hours drive from Salt Lake City to allow guests to spend time out in nature. Visitors can spend some time at the nearby lake kayaking, canoeing, or paddle boarding. There are also swimming pools if you prefer to stay close.

Like most dude ranches, horseback riding is a popular activity and makes for an excellent way to explore the surrounding area. Mountain biking is another option if you’re after something a bit more exhilarating. You can get involved with a variety of sporting activities with the on-site sports courts and fields.

As far as where to sleep, well if you’re looking to keep the costs down then there’s a camping area. It’s called tent city and the tents are provided by the ranch but there is also a bunkhouse that offers dorms. For those with a higher budget, there’s the guesthouse, Red Creek Lodge, and Tabby Mountain Lodge.

Rockin’ R Ranch

Location: Antimony, UT

Rockin’ R Ranch has been around for 37 years and is located in Antimony. Covering an impressive 1000 acres, with an extra 40000 leased acres, there is a lot to do at Rockin’ R Ranch.

This all-inclusive ranch prides itself on allowing guests to step back in time and appreciate what life in the Wild West would have been like. Even better, there’s no cell service or cable out here, so you can enjoy a fully unplugged and present experience.

While at Rockin’ R Ranch, guests get to take part in a whole host of activities. This includes archery, tubing, hiking, and country line dancing.
